Seokyoung Yang (she/they) is a curator and filmmaker with a soft spot for what slips through translation—linguistic or otherwise. Working with moving images and text, she traces diasporic bodies and the slow, unglamorous labor of mourning. Beyond her own practice, she organizes experimental screenings and gatherings for emerging voices. Yang holds a BFA in Film and Video from the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and is currently based in Seoul, most often found with a beer and cilantro in hand.
양석영은 언어가 비틀리고 미끄러지는 순간을 담아내는 기획자이자 창작자이다. 주로 영상과 텍스트를 사용하여 디아스포라적 감각과 질긴 애도의 시간을 살펴본다. 캘리포니아 예술학교(CalArts)에서 영화/비디오를 전공했으며, 현재는 서울에서 다양한 프로젝트를 기획하며 지내고있다.
